This is the new "it" bag by Stardoll, named "Missmej" in honour of some random user. Who cares? I know about the "Sienna", the "Kate" and the "Birkin". When Stardoll picks a random user with a silly kids name, it really doesn't sound as good.

Sorry about the lack of posts this week, I guess I needed to tell everyone that I'm back at school now (last year, then Uni, WHOO!) and have just super crazy busy. I've also been working all day.

So, what I eman to say is I probably won't be able to update the site quite as often as before when I was on Summer hols, but I still will try my best!

You're catwalking, babay!

Wow, another new feature of Stardoll! They just keep churning them out!

This new "catwalk" feature allows Superstars (who else, right?) to vote for your favourite fashions of three users, once you have saved an outfit in your album. Clever, huh? Anywhoo, most people's outfits just involve clothes lying across the screen, so it doens't always work as well, but I managed to get quite a good screenshot.

teenStyle Issue 2: Sept/Oct 08

Well, it's out in all it's four- page glory. And as much as I couldnt' really stand Style, and the first issue of teenStyle was kind of an anti- climax, this one looks very promising, firstly because of the CoverGirl! It's writemarycat of Eternity Magazine, Mary Walkerson!

And it's all so pretty! Okay, we've still got that whole threesome of Kaya, Selena and Style there, but, oh! Pretty! I LOVELOVELOVE this cover! And I want that necklace!

I cna't wait to read the article written by Selena about Halloween fashion, British style. Maybe dressed as the Queen, or someone else British? Amy Winehouse? Victoria Beckham?

We'll have to wait and see!

teenStyle/ Issue 2, launch party!

So, teenStyle's launch party is in about half an hour, and I've prepared my outfit. The theme is a supposed "teen royalty" so I've chosen something quirky, but fun and colourful. Speaking of teen royalty, I bought Sophia Coppola's Marie Antoinette on DVD the other day. It's really good, full of 80s punk rock songs and amazing costumes! Anywhere, here's my outfit:


Cute, pscyhadelic mini- dress, very pucci- esque methinks! Coloured tights (winterberry!) and chunky black platforms, DKNY. Love-er-ly! Oh, and a freakin' awesome black bangle as an arm- cuff!

Seeing Double

Many people have noticed the new theme in the Starplaza... recurring items!

It's equally annoying when most of the items aren't that nice to begin with!

All of these items have been previously out. That also means they've been in a sale, and in StarBazaar, so the chances are, lots of people have either paid alot more for these items, or alot less. I think it's annoying that Stardoll re- introduce clothes, especially hideous ones like these.

The only item I like is the navy/ grey coat with the gold detail, which is purdy. The rest looks like something a drunk zookeeper would wear!

Magazine- licious

It's that time of the month again- no, not that one! But all the magazines are set to soon be released again, however, Eternity has seen an early debut for their September issue, as the Editor- in- chief, writemarycat, will have problems with her internet connection soon (?) so this will be the last issue for quite some time, although kudos to Mary and her team for managing to complete this stellar issue in record time!

As you can see, in terms of graphics, Eternity magazine has seen a huge improvement in the last few months, so much so that they're looking to overtake Style in terms of popularity. I for one, much prefer Eternity because they actual communicate with the readers as opposed to icily ignoring them!

Done! and dusted: a magazine worth reading!

So many of the Stardoll magazines are generic, un- original and spoute fashion nonsense, so it's refreshing when I see magazines I actually like. S4A Magazine is one of my favourites, and I found Done! magazine, written by Steelone through the lovely girls at Stardoll Fashion Forward.




Steelone herself admits that she has had lots of positive comments following the Done! August issue, and I can see why. At first soem of the images were a bit iffy but you can see the drastic improvements, and the September issue of Done! could easily rival more well- known ones such as Eternity, which is okay but kind of eh.

Gemma_W wouldn't be my first choice for CoverGirl but I can see her appeal to an extent, she seems friendly enough, if a bit icy, but that cover- WOW! She looks gorgeous, and her eyes looks exactly the same, big, pear- shaped almond eyes. Pretty!

Banned?!

For some reason I have been banned from the MonthlyGiftClub! Reasons escape me as to why, perhaps something I wrote there came out wrong and was misinterpreted, but as far as I am aware I have done nothing wrong. Sure, lots of people had made silly, disgusting or otherwise sick discussions and g/b messages, but I was never one of them, and neither are most people, it was just a small minority who abused the boards and felt the need the share disgusting lies.







Has anyone else had this happen to them?? If you've been banned, tell me!!!

BeverlyHillsHei - Bye Bye!

Oh- the rumours are getting bigger and the claws are out, and fakeshake3 is not even involved.

Practically everyone has heard the Daily*Tabloid/ LaPrimaDonna/ BeverlyHillsHei scandal that's currently circulating the net. It first appeard on The Daily Tabloid, with LaPrimaDonna claiming that Daily*Tabloid and BeverlyHillsHei were the same person, and although I cannot stand any of these three, she made a valid point and had a good argument.

Of course, she was then fired.

She'd claimed to be trying to reclaim Daily*Tabloid's once stelar reputation, although it's not nothing but mud in the ground with their constant staff changes and silly rumours.

BeverlyHillsHei has already denied her part in this on her blog, claiming that she is friends with D*T but cannot stand LaPrimaDonna. What I don't understand is why she is sending giftcodes to D*T. Why, when D*T used to slam her to the ground on the blog, however now she is defending her?

Everyone knows BeverlyHillsHei is a liar, her presentation practically screams it, and anyone who believes her silly lies is more delusional than they realised.

What do you think? Are they the same people?

I think Daily*Tabloid and BeverlyHillsHei could be the same person: they're both sad- assed pretentious liars who want people to worship them.

I've tried a little experiment right now where I've got practically my only HotBuy and put it up for sale. Hotbuys have never really interested me as I prefer to just buy the clothes I like, and now sell them when I change my mind, but I bought these forever ago, maybe over a year. I've loved them as if they were my own but I've bought new shoes since then, and to be honest, don't really wear them much. And because I'm not interested in so- called "collector's items" I thought I'd put them up for sale.

So... I put them up for 30 sd.






Extortionate? Er... yes. But it's just an experimeant really, I'm not actually expecting anyone to buy them. Of course, if they do I'll be happy I've made 30sd, but to be honest, I'll also feel sorry for that person that spends that much. Although, if you have most other HotBuys I guess you might want the whole set.

Well, if you want them you know where to find them! I'll keep you posted :)

Ch-Ch-Changes

Too many changes... that is one thing I don't like! First Stardoll changed the layout of all the "Stardoll's" to "Dolls & Games". It's been Dolls or Stardolls for as long as I can remember!

Why ruin something that was fine to begin with by changing it?

Well, now they have changed The Show into Stardoll magazine. And what a pile of crap it is!



It's dull colours, dull content and looks like one of the many amatuer Stardoll- themed magazine currently doing the rounds on cyberspace. It's really, really bad. Honest.

The only good thing about this is the Covergirl, who is quite pretty, although she admittedly looks worse now I'm studying the picture again. Whatever- my point is that after a few years online, is this the best user- friendly magazine Stardoll could create? The content is just automatic feed from another gossip website. Why can't they do something themselves???

Starbazaar confuzzlement!

I was flicking through StarBazaar trying to find soem bargains or see if there were any lottery dresses about (no!), and realised that it was the same few items being re- shown constantly:




Why so many tights???!!!

1) I already have these- Starbazaar, 2sd. Why so many for sale?
2) Why so many free bags for sale? The fact that every SuperStar has one sorta indicates they're not going to buy another- you can't anyway!
3) That hideous Lily Allen pale/ dusty rose pink top is there, and has appeared a million more times.
4) And the stupid "10 million members" tops for sale for 2sd. I'm selling mine for 1sd :)

So yeah, I'm pretty peeved. Normally StarBazaar is clogged up with lot of crap from StarDesign!

I was just flitting through thhe world of cyberspace and Stardoll blogs in general when I came across another one. There seem to be so many lately, myself included, and it will be interestign to see how long most people carry on before they get bored or lose interest, but for the moment at least, it's very popular. All are good and fun to read, but a few have a special something that makes me keep going back. I discovered The Stardoll Chronicles through Linda at The Star Dose on her Links section.

All the Stardoll blogs are beginning to slowly blend into one, and I feel too, guilty of this because there are about a million of us out there. But I felt blonde_bum101 deserved a special mention so here it is:

Member worth a mention- Suite of the Week! 24/08

I need to get into doing this Suite of the Week business, well, weekly. I've just seen so many awesome suites lately it's hard to pick a favourite!

Well, I managed in the end!



Barb_A is kind of refreshingly normal, which is nice to see on Stardoll!

Anyway, I was totally psyched to see she had an actual wedding chapel in her Suite... like, wow! I know lots of users are managing to build things in their suite now, but this is really cool and totally inspiring!



Also, alot of users are using perspective in their rooms, creating bigger spaces by making objects smaller. This is really creative on their part, as seen above. I hope to feature more users who have done this, as it looks really good!

I did it!

I did it! I just bought a month's Superstar membership. Wow, I caved. I knew I would eventually. Oh well, I have jsut coem back from work, and I'm doing an 8- hour shift tomorrow. I deserve it!

Wham Bam, Thankyou Tam: Part II

And with all the fanfare Stardoll can muster the new Vivienne Tam items have arrived. Of course while the Elites clambour over their Christian Louboutins to buy the whole stock, let us non- Supertstar gaze in wonderment at these fine creations:



Aah, yes! My personal favourite. The shoes I could easily give or take but the dress- Oh! Lovely, shiny, flowery and oh so pretty!



Yay! Well, here's the first page at least. The rest are not really as good, and all my favourites are here! The pruple, the pin, the blue... Mmm I especially love the cinch in the waist of the blue dress. Why it's call "Jade Macrame" I cannot tell, because unless my eyes decieve me that macrame is very much red.

The disappointments? The hideous nylon black dress, I can only say 'ew'. And the gold dress has come straight out of Star Wars, shoulder pads and all. If there's one thing I detest, except maybe exams, war, smoking, the usual, it is shoulder pads!

Wham Bam, Thankyou Tam

The fashion geniuses that are Stardoll Fashion Forward have shown us what every Superstar is looking forward to, the new Vivienne Tam collection. Sadly, us non- Superstars can only drool over these luscious dresses, a sure improvement after the letdown of clothes that they called "Back to School."






You can see circled that ones that I would if I could, I just LOVELOVELOVE the plum/ red wine coloured dress. Gorgeous!

Still not as good as the previous collection though, even though they're still a definite improvement on the last lacklustre DKNY collection.

BEWARE! Hacker Alert!

Oh, yep, there's a Hacker claiming to know a new version of the "loophole" which fakeshake3 knew only too well. Anywhoo, just be on your guard, because she claims to have access to a special computer program that allows you to have duplicates of any Stardoll item.

Anyway, she then claims you have to have a Superstar account first in order for it to work, and then, oh, this is it, she asks for your password. Oh... like she's not just going to steal your brand new superstar account! Wow, I just feel sorry for the poor people that actually believe her :(

Wow! "Access to another Program that allows you to purchase items in the Stardoll store that are not yet released to the public." First of all... er- NO WAY! And secodnly, sicne when was Stardoll some huge database conspiracy act hiding special items that are not yet "released to the public?"

Isabella.Arci is a noob!

Further proof from her self- glorifying article on Perez's blog. Jeez, I thought Perez spposed to be against the Elites, so why must Isabella post her stupid incessant ramblings about her own success?

Well, I couldn't contain my anger any longer and has to comment back, like any sane, just person would do. I was about to say that I couldn't believe that Isabella was beign rewarded by Stardoll, but wait, actually I do believe it. Stardoll knows how much Isabella has spent on her suite and MeDoll (and we're talking hundreds here) and they've rewarded her for spending so much but giving her... wait for it: even more money! Wow, talk about a slap in the face! As if the princess doens't have enough money already, let's give her more!




Yeah, as you can I said what I felt. Oh, and before anyone comments back saying "Oh you're just jealous," there's no need, because yes, I am hella jealous. And don't see why she deserves it.

Roiworld Fun-ness!

I discovered the Korean website Roiworld a couple of years ago through dressupgames.com, a website that basically just has, well, Dress Up Games. This was the same website where I discovered Stardoll, although back then it was "Paper Doll Heaven" and there were no MeDolls, no StarPlaza and basically you just dressed up dolls. I miss the good old days...

Anyway, I go on Roiworld every couple of days when they have updates and since going on there the quality of dolls has improved vastly. The clothes are more quirky and unique, alot more of my style than alot of what Stardoll has to offer:






Ta- Da! Love-er-ly! I want the black blazer!

Oh, and this sort of relates to the blog because who can forget about the whole Roiworld/ I-dressup Style Magazine thing. I went on i- dressup a couple of years ago when it first started as well, but there's too many pop-ups and the quality isn't as good!

Lost & Found: Perez

So Perez couldn't make it to her own party! I don't blame her really, Stardoll parties are kinda lame and always end in an anti- climax. I mean, you're just writing in someone's guestbook which, to be honest, I can think of better things to do...

There is a sale currently on in StarPlaza, with 50% reduced off many items. I found the best places to look were Pretty in Pink and the Stardoll shop. I bought a lovely black pencil skirt and a green blouse as seen on the Bethany Joy Galeotti doll!

Stardoll celebrates!

Oh yep, Stardoll has reached the big 2-0 in terms of millions of members. Sure, most of them were created by Isabella.Arci to vote for herself for CoverGirl, but it's still a pretty huge landmark for what started out as just a dressup website (anyone else remember the good old days of PaperDoll Heaven? Hardly anyone has been on that long- I have!).

Anywhoo we got 20 [woop!] stardollars, which I have invested into my suite, slowly... very slowly, building up my suite! I'll save what I have left, watch it grow again and then splash out on the Candie's range, as it's the most affordable and yet still quite stylish considering, well, everything.

Note the spelling of WooHoo, as Wo Hoo. Hmmm...

Anyway, the other thing that caught my eye, I was like "Hold the phone- I recognise that cheesey grin and bad weave!" Not only has Isabella.Arci been Covergirl a gazillion times, has to show everyone her ridiculous and stupid shoe room and her "stylish" and "thoughtful" layered looks that she parades across Stardoll, but she's also made the front page in a freaking advert! What next? Her own MeDoll boutique in the StarPlaza?

Exam Results!

Sooooo..., I'm getting my A-Level exam results tomorrow [eek!] and these basically decide whether or not I can continue in my studies for a year before going to University.
So.... its my head on the line. These are pretty darn important!

Free crap!

Yay! You can never have enough free crap from Stardoll! Now we have it from Tampax, indicating yet again that Stardoll is turning into one big ball full of promotions, consumerism and adverts! But hey ho, I don't really care, to be honest. They have to make their money some how, even if some of the Superstars *cough fakeshake cough* complain about it.

I understand some people are going to complain about the whole "gift" thing and hwo inapporaporiate and un -PC it is to mention periods or whatever but I don't really care. I mean, the gifts are nothign special, but I bet even Style_Magazine can work these white outfits into her monochrome ensembles she so often sports!

I heart Candies!

Snaps for the Hayden Panettiere for Candie's range. I actually like Hayden Panettiere! And the clothes are actually wearable and you can mix them up, as opposed to the "Abbey Dawn" Avril Lavinge line for Kohl's.

I so so so want the yellow and brown plaid mini! It reminds me of Cher's outfit in Clueless, which I love! It's also good because it's for non- superstars [i.e ME!] so everyone can enjoy the clothes! They're evn better than the newest line of DKNY clothes!

Sorry about the recent lack of updates but my computer is currently kaputt, so they may be an overall shortage for a while.
I'm writing this on my parents computer though but it sucks because I want my computer!!!

• teenStyle was officially introduced... and let's not lie- it was kind of an anti- climax and v. boring!
• The new Avril Lavinge line has come out. Meh, it's second- rate stuff, Stardoll finally trying to jump onto the "emo" trend about 2 years too late.
• And not much else...

Anywhoo, like I said, don't expect too much at the mo while I wait for my computer to hopefully be fixed!

Bitch of the Week

This girl, who says she was "single- handedly saving the reputation of this blog" when talking about the Daily Tabloid which frankly, is well beyond saving, has been constantly been getting on every one's nerves.

You know who I mean. Presenting the Stardoll Reality's Bitch of the Week: LaPrimaDonna!

I like how she claims to be saving the repuatation of the blog, even though the fact that it calls itself a "tabloid" suggests that it is more rumour- mongering than anything, and sources which are less than refutable. Also, LaPrimaDonna, what is with the Berber parka? You don't live on a farm- so why act like it?

She arrived late at the teenStyle party and then proceeded to insult everyone. I mean, sure I hardly liked everyone there.. but this was in the split-second she had arrived. Bitchy? More than a bit, I think so. And not in a good way.

I could imagine her appearing pretty soon in the Stardoll BurnBook!!! The claws are out, non?!

Best/ Worst Dressed @ teenStyle grand opening

There was plenty going on at the launch of teenStyle last night, the actual magazine not being one of them. Anywhoo, the fashions ranged from cute and pretty to bizarre and fugly. Here's my favourites... and least favourites.

BEST DRESSED:

Style_Magazine, hannah-denise (me!), model-selena

Style was wearing her signature monochrome and wasn't even really sticking to her own "teen flair" dress... but I still loved what she wore, which is saying something because usually she looks pretty hideous in her boring suits and silly ballgowns. Still- I wish she would sort her make-up out! The lipstick is awful!

Then there's yours truly in my grecian- inspired number doing what little I can with my small and limited wardrobe. I think I looked pretty good!

I really liked model-selena's outfit as well. The nude- beige dress is bang-on trend, and my only concern is the fact that she looks almost gift-wrapped and like a little parcel with the bow, but I let that pass. Shame about the birds nest on her head too...

RISKS THAT PAID OFF:

Britneys07, springate, chicago3

Britneys07 was certainly the belle of last night's ball and everyone was in awe at her stunning and unusual choice. Going for a "moulin- rouge" theme, I certainly think she looks divine, and I love the off- shoulder detail on her dress!

springate arrived fashionably late [although still not as late as the actual mag... well, front cover] and was sporting about 10 LBD's on top of one another. Did he pull it off? I think so, although the feather boa? Slightly trannylicious... but this is springate after all!

I wasn't convinced when I first saw chicago3's outfit. She was certainly begging people to take a look, but... yeah. It has grown on me, although I can't stand the little pink and grey bustier that's peeking out of the top.

RISKS THAT DIDN'T PAY OFF:

Kahlen08Heiress, Allison.Heart

Oh, Kahlen, Why? You are not a pirate! Sure, I love the trousers, and even the puffy- sleeved voluminous blouse. But the pirate vest? Why must you do that to yourself?!?! And don't get me started on the make-up and hair! Can you say hot mess...?

Allison.Heart has a good idea with the red Rose McGowan dress but she just can't pull it off. The clutch looks to informal with the dress... and underneath! Brown clunky platforms! Why!!!????

EXCLUSIVE!!! teenStyle!

We kind of actually like it, considering we had absolutely no hopes for it.

Shame Wordpress messed up and Selena and Style could add only the front cover, an hour late.

Still, the grand opening was was kept busy with deep talks on Heath Ledger, Marie Antoinette, Seth Rogen and Britney Spears!

UPDATES: LaPrimaDonna is being... a prima donna and downright bitch. No changes there then!

New Role Model Doll

Kind of a belated introduction, if you ask me. Days after introducing all the Indian style clothes and weeks after the Red Indian themed items in the MiniShop for our suites they bring out Sacajawea. The role model thing is kinda boring if you ask me. I mean, sure I understand Stardoll is trying to be educating for the little kids and stuff but... meh. Who is Sacajawea? Is she the Indian girl from Night at the Museum. I have noooooo idea!

The clohtes are ok, but it's nothing we haven't already seen in the StarPlaza. Well, except for that drag- tastic wig!

teenStyle: grand opening

So, it has been announced. The grand opening for the highly- anticipated teenStyle is tonight at *gasp* 11pm!



Style announced it mere minutes ago, and, as usual she was completetly nonchalant and ice- queen scary. Anywhoo, many people are already complaining that its too late at night. Er.. so? Ok, 11pm is kind of a gay time to still be on your computer, but its not 11pm everywhere, considering the majority of Stardoll users live in the States where it will be late afternoon/ early evening.

Dress is formal, which means that Isabella.Arci will be layering all her evening wear one of top of another, and of course, Style will be in her usual monochrome. Hint for Style: You're not Anna Wintour!!!

It seems teenStyle is actually coming out on 2nd August by the time that party will take place.

Fashionably late... or just a snobby hot mess???

HotBuys go Mainstream!

Oh no! The poor Elites must be quaking in their Christian Louboutin boots! Now that the HotBuys have been tainted by the curse of "not being superstar" and have therefore lost their exclusivity, thousands of users have flocked to Starplaza and bought them! Sure, I think it's great that people who can't afford to waste their money on a website can get a supposed "hotbuy", but they're still not the league they once were when they were sponsored by ElleGirl.




In about two weeks we've gone from over- priced, recycled HotBuys to casual jumpsuits for everyone, and as you can see from above, they have a place on the "most popular" list



Even though I'm not Superstar I probably won't buy it. See, I only buy something if I like it, which begs the question, do Superstars even like the Hotbuys, or just the "exclusivity" that comes with them?

For ages after reading the rumours about this "coming soon" item in Starplaza nothign was there. Now it is! Well, it at least says "coming soon."




Could this be Kohls Interiors? We'll have to wait and see!

New Look!

It's that time, yep, teenStyle comes out tomorrow.
I bet it'll be exactly the same as Style, over-rated and extremely boring, as well as pretentious and sniffy.
Of course, the graphics will be amazingly flawless, but to be honest, it'll probably just be a shit-load of fashion nonsense spouting from Model.Selena.

Okay, so I've been a bit negligent with the blog lately. I guess I just lost interest a bit. I've decided to incorporate bits outside of Stardoll as well.Of course, the main focus is Stardoll and everything that goes into the big bowl of sugar and spice and everything nice that Stardoll represents, but I'll also have snippets from my own life as well as fashion crap and other shizzle!

New Free Doll: Global Pattern!

Wahey! A New Free Doll, finally a post worth publishing. Not much has really happened in the world of Stardoll in the past week. New clothes have been launched with a 4th of July theme, and I especially love the prom style dresses available (so cute!). But also, a doll that is actually quite fun!




I actually really like this doll. All the outfits/ costumes are colourful, fun and bright, three things The Stardoll Reality love, and cannot live without.

About time!

Finally! Stardoll goes back to the good old days when they used external advertising. Perhaps now they can make some money off of that instead of scraping the bottom of the barrel and making Superstars pay for everything!

Us Non- Superstars want stuff too! We just like to save our money for real clothes, not virtual ones made of little rainbow pixels!

Kat Von D arrives!

The new Real Celeb to hit the streets of Stardoll is, as we predicted, Kat Von D of Miami Ink. The Doll followed her MeDoll and new line of cosmetics for Sephora. Here's a quick peek at what's available:

Here is her MeDoll. I personally don't think it particularly looks like her, and has more than a tint of Amy Winehouse to her. Kat Von D is so much prettier!

I love-love-love her Suite! The Gothic-ey theme she has going on looks completely kitsch and retro with the garish prints and bright colours! And the leopard rug on the bed- ingenious! Looks fabulous!

And as for her make- up range? Here's a quick look:

OK, so we added the colourful hairstyle ourselves, but the make-up looks awesome too! I love the dark red lip colours, they look dark and mysterious, yet ooze sex appeal at the same time. And the liquid eyeliners are alot easier and fluid to use. Not that Non- Superstars can buy make-up.
